Peyton DiSiena

Graduate Student

Peyton joined the lab in 2026 and is interested in exploring how gene regulatory elements contribute to regional neurodevelopmental differences between humans and chimpanzees.

She graduated from Cornell University in December 2024 with a B.S. in Biological Sciences. As a Rawlings Cornell Presidential Research Scholar, she completed an honors thesis in the lab of Kerry Shaw investigating the role of cuticular chemical profiles on insect hybridization.

Outside of research, Peyton enjoys reading and playing soccer with friends.
